Entrepreneurs! Make in India: As reported, the Indian Army spends ₹400 crore on mules, which are the means of transporting rations and materials in inhospitable terrain. It can easily use drones for moving material. Design and develop indigenous drones that can help change and remove mules. It will be an import substitute as the defence forces are imported it. Why can’t the technocrats at IITs, IISc and other research institutes and manufacturing companies master the development and production of the drones at scale required and make India a leader in different types and sizes of drones and export too? Are the big business houses and even PSUs in manufacturing listening clearly the call of such products and ashaming India as laggard and suffering from the epidemic of ‘Importmania’ in every field.

While in Paris, as reported, Defence minister Rajnath Singh made a call for French companies to make India their base for the production of defence equipment, not only for India’s large market but also for export to other countries, while addressing CEOs of leading French defence industries. He also called them to collaborate in modernising India’s shipyards and defence platforms through the infusion of technology. India must do a lot of work with right feedback to attract the manufacturers to set up their second regional R&D and manufacturing base here as it will significantly cut their cost and will improve their global competitiveness. The region including India will be the major users with rapidly changing global economic scenes. Without clear cut advantages, no one is going to come in India. However, it was good time for the defence minister to give the call . The CEO of the French engine manufacturer Safran behind the Rafale fighter jet told Defence Minister Rajnath Singh the same. Rajnath Singh visited the Engine Manufacturing Facility of Safran at Villaroche near Paris. Safran is known for its engine making capabilities. They have also developed the engine for Rafale. A Nobel for Chemistry 2019 has gone for the technology behind the rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that has changed the mobility by Electric Vehicles and– that also power most of the most popular portable devices such as mobile phones. The prize has been given jointly to Stanley Whittingham, now with Binghamton University, State University of New York; John B Goodenough, now with the University of Texas at Austin; and Akira Yoshino of Asahi Kasei Corporation. Whittingham developed the first functional lithium-ion battery in 1976, Goodenough brought in a major improvement in 1980, while Yoshino made the first practical-use lithium-ion battery in 1985. Commercially manufactured lithium-ion batteries, based on what Yoshino had developed, made their first appearance in 1991. Tesla Motors revolutionary success came from it. Tesla was the first so successful an Electric Vehicles manufacturer and the Chinese now are the main leading manufacturers and users of Electric vehicles. And with that I am foreseeing a large number of Chinese EV manufacturers entering in Indian auto OEMs and components market. India again missed the opportunity in becoming a first in a new technology that could make it a lead manufacturing nation. Interestingly, ISRO was in use of Lithium-ions battery for quite sometimes in its satellites launching. India has neither taken any lead in getting tied up with the countries with mines of lithium nor in manufacturing of power packs for EVs. Is it not a shame that India with one of largest users of mobile phones and solar cells( with a target of 175 GW by 2022) will be totally dependent on China for its supply? Where are the killing instincts of our big rich business houses or new entrepreneurs? If India can’t take a lead in innovating a similar cutting stage technology, related product development and its manufacturing, it will always remain a laggard nation. With the history of our governments’ priorities till date, India will remain a buyer of technologies or collaborators for years to come even with so big a pool of researchers in this country.

आज सबेरे के ज्ञानपीठ की अड्डानुमा महफ़िल में डा. चौबे ने वायदानुसार एक यह श्लोक सुनाया….काग़ज़ मेरे पास नहीं था पर यह श्लोक दिमाग के किसी कोने में कुलबुला रहा था. याद आया दादाजी बड़े गम्भीर भाव से यह सुनाये थे…और ऐसे ही गीता आदि के श्लोक बताते रहते थे, पहले भी लिखा हूँ …

को हि भारः समर्थानां किं दूर व्यवसायिनाम्।

को विदेश सुविद्यानां को परः प्रियवादिनम्॥

सामर्थ्यवान व्यक्ति को कोई वस्तु भारी (असंम्भव) नहीं होती । व्यपारियों के लिए कोई जगह दूर नहीं होती । विद्वान के लिए कहीं विदेश नहीं होता । मधुर बोलने वाले का कोई पराया नहीं होता ।

उन्होंने उस समय कहा था कुछ ऐसा…”तुम्हारे कोई चाचा पढ़ाई में कोई ज़्यादा आगे नहीं बढ़े,यद्यपि मैंने दोनों को बिरला के पिलानी के शिक्षा संस्थान में व्यवस्था की थी तुम्हारी दादी के चलते. वे अपने बच्चों को दूर नहीं भेजना चाहतीं थी…एक साधारण बहाना बना एक बार जब वे आये तो जाने नहीं दिया…..वहीं देखो तुम्हारी माँ तुम्हें एक संतान होते हुये भी मेरे जिम्में लगा दी दूर कलकत्ता में बिना घर की महिला के बिना मेरे रहते हुये भी…”आज सोचता हूँ असली माँ बाप तो दादाजी थे.उन्हीं के चलते जो मैं बना, वह बन पाया. हमने भी अपने तीनों बच्चों को बहुत दूर अमरीका भेज दिया उनके भविष्य को देखते हुये…भारत के लाखों साधारण घरों के बच्चे बिदेश गये हैं, सब क्षेत्र में नाम कर रहे हैं, कुछ नामी कम्पनियाँ भी बनाये…अमरीका के सबसे अधिक धनियों में कुछ का नाम है…दादाजी ने चाचाओं के बूते पर कुछ ब्यवसाय करने की भी पहल की थी, पर वे कुछ न कर सके….देखें भगवान राकेश को कितना सफल बनाते हैं….एक श्लोक और कितनी यादें उभर आ रही हैं…महानायक विष्णुगुप्त चाणक्य ने आज से शायद २००० साल से पहले ऐसा बिचार ब्यक्त किया था जो कितना सठीक है…..हाँ …उन दिनों भी चन्द्रगुप्त मौर्य को वह बिहार से खोज तक्षशिला ले गया था शिक्षा के लिये….हाँ, दादाजी बराबर तुलसीदास की कहानी बताते थे कि क्या तुलसीदास अपने घर से नहीं निकल गये होते तो इतने बड़े राम भक्त लोकनायक बन पाते…..आदर्श पुरूष राम की महिमा का प्रसार जितना तुलसी के रामायण रामचरितमानस के द्वारा हुआ, उतना बल्मिकी या अन्य किसी रामायण से नहीं हुआ…….

I am of a stronger view that the government of today and the next ones must put its best talents, resources, investment on R&D, production engineering, and marketing for exports as global manufacturers of defence equipment- helicopters, fighters, naval ships, submarines, missiles, tanks, artillery guns, rifles and other small arms.

Durga Puja

According to Hindu mythology, Mahisasura had obtained a boon of invincibility from Lord Brahma, which meant no man or God could kill him. Taking advantage of the boon, he started harassing everyone and chased the Gods out of heaven. Thereafter, Goddess Durga was created by all the gods providing their armaments to defeat Mahisasura.Durga slew the demon on the Dashami, and hence the day is celebrated as Vijaya Dashami, symbolising the victory of good over evil.

सिद्धिदात्री.)दुर्गा सप्तश्लोकी नवरात्रि दुर्गा पूजा के दौरान सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पाठ माना गया है.पढने की कोशिश करिये, लाभ होगा, शान्ति मिलेगी.

ज्ञानिनामपि चेतांसि देवि भगवती हि सा ।

बलादाकृष्य मोहाय महामाया प्रयच्छति ॥1॥

वे भगवती महामाया देवी ज्ञानियों के भी चित्त को बलपूर्वक खींचकर मोह में डाल देती हैं.

दुर्गे स्मृता हरसि भीतिमशेषजन्तोः स्वस्थैः स्मृता मतिमतीव शुभां ददासि । दारिद्रयदुःखभयहारिणि का त्वदन्या सर्वोपकारकरणाय सदार्द्र चित्ता ॥2॥

‘मां दुर्गे!’ आप स्मरण करने पर सब प्राणियों का भय हर लेती हैं और स्वस्थ पुरुषों द्धारा चिंतन करने पर उन्हें परम कल्याणमयी बुद्धि प्रदान करती हैं. दुःख, दरिद्रता और भय हरनेवाली देवी! आपके सिवा दूसरी कौन है, जिसका चित्त सबका उपकार करने के लिए सदा ही दयार्द्र रहता हो.

सर्वमङ्गलमङ्गल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थसाधिके ।

शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरि नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥3॥

नारायणी! आप सब प्रकार का मंगल प्रदान करनेवाली मंगलमयी हैं, आप ही कल्याणदायिनी शिवा हैं. आप सब पुरुषार्थों को सिद्ध करने वाली, शरणागतवत्सला, तीन नेत्रों वाली गौरी हैं. आपको नमस्कार है.

शरणागतदीनार्तपरित्राणपरायणे ।

सर्वस्यार्तिहरे देवि नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥4॥

शरणागतों, दीनों एवं पीड़ितों की रक्षा में संलग्न रहनेवाली तथा सबकी पीड़ा दूर करनेवाली नारायणी देवी! आपको नमस्कार है.

सर्वस्वरूपे सर्वेशे सर्वशक्तिसमन्विते ।

भयेभ्यस्त्राहि नो देवि दुर्गे देवी नमोऽस्तु ते ॥5॥

सर्वस्वरूपा, सर्वेश्वरी तथा सब प्रकार की शक्तियों से संपन्न दिव्यरूपा दुर्गे देवी! सब भयों से हमारी रक्षा कीजिए, आपको नमस्कार है.

रोगानशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा रुष्टा तु कामान् सकलानभीष्टान् ।

त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां त्वामाश्रिता ह्याश्रयतां प्रयान्ति ॥6॥

देवी! आप प्रसन्न होने पर सब रोगों को नष्ट कर देती हैं और कुपित होने पर मनोवांछित सभी कामनाओं का नाश कर देती हैं. जो लोग आपकी शरण में हैं, उनपर विपत्ति तो आती ही नहीं, आपकी शरण में गये हुए मनुष्य दूसरों को शरण देनेवाले हो जाते हैं.

सर्वाबाधाप्रशमनं त्रैलोक्यस्याखिलेश्वरि ।

एवमेव त्वया कार्यमस्मद्वैरि विनाशनम् ॥7॥

सर्वेश्वरि! आप तीनों लोकों की समस्त बाधाओं को शांत करें और हमारे शत्रुओं का नाश करती रहें.
