Hotting California

We were in Santa Clara last at this time. We left only on July31. It was very pleasant rather it was getting cooler. California is normally cooler and drier this time of year. We feel bad sometimes as all the family is today in US. However, we were happy that they all are in the best place of US with the naturally provided good climate with no snow or hot waves as we experienced in Arizona.
Anand and Shannon were on phone today morning. It was just shocking to hear that temperature in Pleasanton has gone up to 44 degree centigrade. They have been facing real problem as their air conditioner has broken down, and with all endeavour for a new portable one they can’t get one before 7-10 days. We discussed some crude means of using ice slabs in front of the fan in bedroom. Bart, the pet must be in dire problem. Is it not surprising news?
I got my second shock when I heard the news in international section that some men have died because of heat in California. Temperatures in some places have touched 46-degree Celsius. And media reported ‘Heatstroke in California’. Why is that happening? Is it a clear case of global warming? If it can happen in California with its strictest pollution control norms, it is possible everywhere.
The heat is more problem some once you have not faced it in your life. I wish it didn’t last long in California; otherwise many dreams may get shattered.
