Priority as I conceive

Abhishek Singhvi, who is a reputed advocate in Supreme Court and also a spokesman of Congress Party in an article on 16June ‘Where there’s a will’ (http://www.hindustantimes.com/2004/Jun/16/5922_828411,0015002200000036.htm) has mentioned of four of his wish-lists of governance issues:
1. Address India’s demographic crisis through non-coercive scheme
2. Take concrete steps dealing with criminalisation of politics
3. Launch concerted war on the backlog of pending cases in our court
4. Have specific focus on beautification of India’s major and medium-sized cities.
Mr. Singhvi would have included two more things-
1. Red Tape: The new government must do some thing to cut the red tape in administration. As per a World Bank report, it takes 88 man-days to fulfill all the regulations needed to register a limited company in India. Who else but Dr. Man Mohan Singh and our FM can improve this miserable situation?
2. Indian Police Force: An effort must be made to change the image of the government employees, and particularly police. Police must provide the service to the poorer people. People must not be afraid in putting a problem to them. They must change. Public perception about police must change.
