Small Celebration and Severe Compensation

Those who read my entry ‘Fifty-one Years Ago On This Day’ will like to know how did we celebrate the occasion and why did I not make my entry on the next day.
As old couple in sixties, we received greeting calls form children, friends, and few relatives. All expected us to ceelebrate the day and enjoy. Some said 51 is more auspicious a number than 50 when we were in US with our children.
We went to temple. I had to pay some money as I asked for some wish and that was granted. However, I shall not like others to follow me in this regard. Yamuna was to go to her kitty party in evening, and as a practice she was to distribute some sweets among the members for the marriage my youngest son in US. So we drove through sweet shop in Brahmaputra Market in Noida to PVR Spice Mall to enjoy some delicious (?) food at its reputed, as it appears very popular Haldiram outlet, the only in this region. We ordered for very simple minithali and a kulfi with lot of faluda.
By evening, I started feeling uncomfortable. But early 15th morning, it went miserable with nonstop loose motion. As usual, I neglected in the morning, but by 2PM I couldn’t tolerate anymore and called the doctor. He showed hesitancy and wished me to visit. He thought I had some means. But with Yamuna not driving and no driver it was not possible. We went only at 5PM. I wonder why the doctors in Noida behave like this. I didn’t expect this from him, as he had appeared to be friendly and smart. But a patient is to show extreme patience and that I did. His medicine didn’t act that smart and by morning of 16th, I was just drained off. The doctor never felt like coming and seeing me even in the morning even after hearing the trouble and advised hospitalization after he returns from the clinic.
And then my friends came to my rescue. One came with a pack of ‘Sat-Isabgol’ (psyllium husk). With curd and salt it soothes intestine. By evening I felt much better. Isabgol is a wonderful, as it is purgative also if taken with warm milk or water. And today I am in position to put my entry in.
Unfortunately, many of my friends keep these experiences of life in their memory chips. Unfortunately, I have been very poor at this. I have gone through many serious ailments but I hardly remember any medicine name. One must keep a note. I shall also try for the same.
