Don’t Join Jinnah

I considered Bal Thackeray as divisive as Jinnah. However, I had a hope that the new generation will shift to more important national issues instead of sticking to regionalism. Even the highest seat of judiciary smells Raj’s statements and actions as divisive and unacceptable for the nation.
And the news of the stars joining Raj bandwagon is still more serious.
Why can’t join the nation all over that is celebrating the win the Indian cricket team? Look at the team constitution. How has it become national in all meaning of the term? Young boys from East, West, North and South have teamed to win over the mightiest. Do Dhoni, Sachin, Irfan, or Pradeep belong to a state, language, or community? The nation must celebrate the India’s team power and the wonder it can achieve.
India can achieve the same in every field, be it IT or manufacturing, once it can get rid of the vested interest of its politicians. Let them not degenerate our heroes from epics or history. No region can own them. Ram can’t just belong to Ayodhya, Ashoka can’t be made Bihari, Akbar can’t remain in minority, and Gandhi can’t be Gujarati. Let us respect the faith of the people. Let them wordhip the Sun, Ganesh or Durga all over the country and enjoy the festivities at Eid and Diwali or Pongal. Let the nation relish dosa idli as well as tandori. And let the politticians stop talking fowl.
Let Jinnah be out of Indian minds. Don’t join the ghosts of Jinnah.
